Rubbish removal prices in London

Pick roughly how much you've got. Every price includes VAT, loading and disposal, so the number you see is the number you pay. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm labour time and weight allowance included per load]

How much have you got?

Quarter van

from £[PLACEHOLDER] inc VAT

A sofa, a mattress and some bags. Roughly 3 to 4 cubic yards.

Sofas, armchairs, fridges and mattresses have to go to specialist facilities, so they can carry a small extra charge. We'll tell you before you book. [PLACEHOLDER: surcharge prices]

How it works

Four steps from "can someone take this?" to an empty floor.

  1. Book

Fill in the form, give us a call or WhatsApp a photo. You get a price and a time slot.

  2. We arrive

The crew turns up in your slot and confirms the price with you before anything's lifted.

  3. We load

We do all the carrying, from the loft, the garden or the third floor with no lift.

  4. We recycle and send your waste transfer note

Your load is sorted for recycling and reuse first. You get a waste transfer note showing it went somewhere legal.

The cheapest man with a van can end up costing you £600.

If your rubbish ends up dumped like this, the council can trace it back to you.

In England, you have a legal duty of care for your household waste. If you hand it to someone who isn't a registered waste carrier and it gets fly-tipped, the fine can land on you, not them.

£600
Maximum on-the-spot fine for a householder who hands waste to an unregistered carrier.
£1,000
Maximum on-the-spot fine for fly-tipping. In court, the fine is unlimited.

Protect yourself in two minutes

  • Ask for the waste carrier registration number, then check it on the Environment Agency public register (opens in a new tab).
  • Get a receipt or waste transfer note that says who took it and where it's going.
  • Be wary of cash-only prices that look too good to be true. Somebody pays for disposal, one way or another.

Licensed, and happy to prove it

Our waste carrier number is [PLACEHOLDER: licence no.]. It's on the Environment Agency's public register, so check it before you book.

We sort before we tip

Every load is sorted so the bulk of it is recycled or reused rather than buried. It's how we've worked from day one.

One price, everything in it

VAT, loading and disposal are in the price we quote. If something needs specialist disposal, such as a sofa or a fridge, we tell you before you book.

Where your rubbish actually goes

Nothing goes in a hole in the ground if we can help it. Each load is sorted into streams so it can go to the right place: wood for chipping, metal for scrap, garden waste for composting, electricals to approved treatment facilities and cardboard for pulping. What can't be recycled goes to a licensed facility.

Sofas and armchairs are the exception. Under UK rules, upholstered seating that contains persistent organic pollutants (POPs) has to be destroyed, not recycled or landfilled. So we keep it separate, and tell you why it costs a bit more.

  • Wood
  • Metal
  • Garden waste
  • Electricals (WEEE)
  • Cardboard and paper
  • What's left, to licensed disposal

[PLACEHOLDER: recycling %]

We'll never claim "100% recycled". Nobody honestly can. We'll tell you what we actually managed, and show our working.

Questions people ask before they book

Can't see yours? Call 07394 094842 or send us a WhatsApp.

It depends on how much there is, how heavy it is and how easy it is to get to. Use the price guide for a ballpark, or send us a photo and we'll give you a fixed price. Every price we quote includes VAT, loading and disposal.

[PLACEHOLDER: headline prices, e.g. single items from £X, full van from £Y]

We can't take asbestos, chemicals and solvents, clinical waste, or fuels and oils. These need specialist licensed contractors, and we're happy to point you in the right direction. Some items, such as paint, gas bottles and tyres, may be possible for an extra charge.

[PLACEHOLDER: confirm your exclusions and extra-charge items]

Yes. CPD Waste Removal Ltd is registered with the Environment Agency as a waste carrier, registration number [PLACEHOLDER: licence no.]. You can check it yourself on the public register (opens in a new tab). Whoever you book, always check.

Yes, with every job. If you're a business, you're legally required to have a waste transfer note for each load of waste and to keep it for at least two years. Households don't legally need one, but it's useful proof that your rubbish went somewhere legal.

[PLACEHOLDER: your same-day / next-day policy, e.g. book before 11am for a same-day slot]. Pop your preferred date in the quote form and we'll confirm a time slot.

Not always. If we can get in, for example with a key safe or keys from your letting agent, we can clear it without you there. We agree the price with you first.

[PLACEHOLDER: confirm your unattended collection policy and how you confirm the job is done, e.g. photos]

UK rules treat waste sofas, armchairs and other upholstered seating from homes as likely to contain persistent organic pollutants (POPs), chemicals once used as flame retardants. They can't be landfilled or recycled. They have to be kept separate and destroyed, usually by incineration, which costs more. Mattresses aren't covered by these rules. Read the government guidance (opens in a new tab).

Yes. Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases and insulating foam that must be dealt with at an approved treatment facility, so they carry an extra charge. Other electricals, from washing machines to TVs, are handled under the WEEE regulations.

[PLACEHOLDER: fridge and freezer surcharge]

[PLACEHOLDER: payment methods, e.g. card, bank transfer, and whether businesses can pay on invoice]

No one can honestly recycle everything, so be wary of anyone who says they do. We sort every load so the bulk of it is recycled or reused, and what can't be recycled goes to a licensed facility.
